Library Lecture Series: Mark Meirowitz's November 2, 2015

Welcome Dr. Mark Meirowitz
“Turkey at a Crossroads in a Turbulent Region”
November 2, 2015 @ 1500 in the Library



Dr. Mark Meirowitz is an Assistant Professor of Humanities at SUNY Maritime College.  He holds a doctorate in Political Science and is an attorney.  Mark writes and lectures extensively on Turkish Foreign Policy, US-Turkish relations, Turkish-Israel relations and related matters.  He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the American Turkish Council.
Please join us on November 2, when Dr. Meirowitz will be discussing recent developments in Turkey and the surrounding region, the crisis in Syria, ISIS, the PKK and Russia’s recent incursion in the Syrian quagmire. Turkey is also facing national elections on November 1st, following the inability of the major parties to form a governing coalition. It is a very fraught time in Turkey, with great uncertainty for the future.
